"The righteous people being the ones invited out
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her"
Matthew 16:18

The ones having been scattered following the divorce,

that he could present her to himself glorious, being the ones invited out.

Aholah and Aholibah

Have you ever been introduced to Aholah and Aholibah? If not I would like to introduce you to these two ladies from the Old Testament. These two ladies are the daughters of one mother who was a Hittite and their father was an Amorite. These two daughters are the only children of their parents, Sarah and Abraham. These ladies were born and raised in the land of Egypt. While they grew to a tender age while in Egypt these, two lades which are sisters, learned to worship idols while they were growing up in the land of the Canaanites. Now God did not see them as sisters when they came out of Egypt, for he saw them only as one family of Hebrews. These ladies are not the type that you would like to have living next door to you, because they are a stiff-necked and rebellious in their nature. These two girls were betrothed to the Lord after they came out of Egypt. Later the Lord married these two sisters and took them as his wives. He provided a grand life style for them while they were young. As the two sisters aged, they took up prostitution and used the things that the Lord provided for them. He dressed them in linen and purple but that was insufficient so they went to the neighboring communities and worked their trade of prostitution. What was the prostitution that the two sisters practiced with the countries around them have to do with this story? The prostitution that these two sisters practice was seen as adultery as they worshipped the Idols of Balaam. It took 360 years before God was so displeased with them for what they were doing that he gave the older wife a bill of divorcement and sent her away from the family estate. However, before she left, God revealed what the older sister had been doing. God revealed that Aholah played the harlot when she was His. She doted upon her lovers who were the Assyrians and her neighbors. She committed whoredom with them that were chosen men of Assyria and with all of their idols. Wherefore I have delivered her into the hands of her lovers, the Assyrians.

Now the sister of Aholah, Aholibah saw what happen to her older sister and she did the same thing by being lovers to the nations around her. What was it that had made God so disgusted that he had to divorce his wife and send her away?

More over the thing that they did unto me was to defile my sanctuary in the same day, and profaned my Sabbaths. That they have committed Adultery, and blood is on their hands, and with their idols they have committed adultery, and have caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass them through the fire, to devour them. For when they had slain their children to their idols, the same day they came into my sanctuary to profane it; and they have done the same in my house. They sent messengers for men to come from afar, the men came and Aholah and Aholibah washed themselves and painted their eyes, and decked themselves with ornaments. These two sisters sat upon a stately bed and had a table prepared before them. The men from the wilderness brought jeweled bracelets, which they put upon the arms and legs of them. The men brought crowns and placed them upon their heads. For all of this God called for the destruction of the two sisters that played the harlot so that the men of these countries came forth and stoned the sisters and killed their sons and daughters. I the lord have done this to purge the land of all the lewdness out of the land of these two sisters who played the harlot. Now Aholah is Israel and Aholibah is Jerusalem.

Now the Lord said to the prophet; Son of Man will you judge Aholah and Aholibah? Yes and declare unto them their abominations that they committed adultery and blood is on their hands and with idols have committed adultery.

And I saw, wherefore all of the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had her put way, and have given her a bill of divorcement: yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. The Lord said to Jeremiah, the backsliding Israel has righteousified herself more than her treacherous sister, Judah. After a proclamation to return, thou backsliding Israel and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful and I will not keep anger forever.

Now, that you have meet the sisters to whom the Lord was married and the one that was divorced, you can understand why it was that God was so displeased that he had to take such dramatic action in what he had to do to correct the wife that was divorced. However, for all of that, the punishment was not to be forever. God set a limit of 2520 years on how long He would punish her for worshipping idols. The practice that she learned down in Egypt before He purchased the two sister by giving the Egyptians and the Ethiopians for them before He brought them out of the land of the Canaanites, those descendents of Ham, the son of Noah.

During the time that Aholah was divorced, the Lord said to her. “For I am with thee, Saith the Lord, to save thee; though I make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, Yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek not for thee, for I have wounded thee with a wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased. Hear the word of the Lord, O you nations, and declare it in the (British) isles afar off, and say he that scattered Israel will gather her, and keep her, as a shepherd doth his flock. Israel is a scattered sheep, the lions have driven her away, first the king of Assyria hath devoured her, and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had broken her bones. Yet will I leave a remnant. that you may have some that shall escape the sword, when you shall be scattered through the countries. And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations where ever they shall be carried captives. Therefore say, thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast her afar off among the heathens, and although I have scattered her among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where she shall come. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you form the people, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. For, Lo I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel, Aholah, from among the all the gentiles, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. Yet the number of the children of Israel, Aholah, shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered and it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them by those around them, “you are not my people,” there they shall say unto them, “You are the sons of the living God.”

Where is the bill of divorcement that I gave Aholah, your mother, whom I have put away or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have you sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother, Aholah put away.

As your husband the Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away my back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair. I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Look unto the rock where you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence you have digged. Hearken unto me, my people and give ear unto me, O my nation; for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make judgment to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth and mine arms shall judge the people, the (British) isles shall wait for me and on mine arm shall they trust.

The prophet Isaiah crying forth: who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Jesus is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows. He is acquainted with grief and we hid as it were our faces from Him, He was despised, and we esteemed him not. Nevertheless, Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our inequities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes, we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Jesus was oppressed, and He was afflicted, Jesus opened not His mouth when He was brought as the lamb slain from the foundation of the earth to be slaughtered, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him, he hath put him to grief. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin. For Jesus was taken out of prison and from judgment and who shall declare his generation? For Jesus was cut off out of the land of living for the transgressions of His people was He stricken, He made His grave with the wicked, and was buried in a rich man’s tomb in His death. Jesus shall see the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous son righeousify many, for Jesus shall bear their inequities, and Jesus bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressor

Then Jesus declared: Sing O barren wife thou that did not bear for more are the children of Aholah than the children of the married wife, Aholibah. For thy maker is thine husband, the Lord of host is His name and thy redeemer the Holy one of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall He be called. For the Lord hath called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou was refused saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken you but with great mercies will I gather you out from among the gentiles where you were scattered by my father.

All of this was said that the house of Israel, Aholah, would know that she was to be redeemed. It came time for Him to gather His people out from among the gentiles where they had been scattered with the promise that the God would not lose one to the ground. The angel announced to Joseph that he was to call His name Jesus and He was to save the children of Aholah from their sins of being without the covenants and the promises. Those sins had been the idol worship that Aholah had learned while she was down in Egypt during her sojourn of 230 years in the land of the Canaanites. She had prostituted herself to the idols that she worshipped even to the slaying of her children in the fire. Jesus was born as was promised that He would be born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit. Jesus grew and became wise before He left to go to the British Isles where the family of Hebrews had been for many years. The stone that Jacob slept on had traveled to the Isles after making a journey down to the land of Egypt and back to the promise land and finally came to rest in the land that God had promised David through Nathan the Prophet. Jesus traveled to the land of Avon with His great uncle where He was trained in the best university of the land. Joseph, His great uncle was Minister of Mines for the Roman central government. Joseph was given 12 hides of land tax-free and it remains tax-free until today. In the British Isles, while Jesus was there He attended one of the 50 universities throughout the land. It was where the Roman Royalty sent their sons and daughters to be educated just as the gentiles send their sons and daughters to America to be trained in the best education system in the world. Jesus learned the art of debating and the knowledge of the time. Jesus returned when the time came, leaving those sheep of that fold for those in the Middle East so that He could go up to the Sodom and Gomorrah which is Jerusalem. His father announced Him when the first-born was brought into the land when His cousin John baptized Him in the River Jordan. God the Father announced; “This is my son in whom I am delighted”.

It was here that the struggle was to begin in a battle between the devil and Jesus. It was the devil himself that confronted Jesus to see if he could get Him to bow down before him. After he had been put down in defeat, the devil dispatched the flunkies from the gentiles to test him for 42 months before Jesus final said to them, “you are of your father the devil”.

During this mortal combat for His life, Jesus announced that He came only for the sheep of the House of Israel of the wife of Aholah who was a Hebrew daughter of Abraham with Sarah for a mother. He made it clear that He was coming to save His people from their sins for which Aholah had been divorced in the beginning. Her sins had been the worshipping of idols that she learned in Egypt. It was not the personal sins of the people on a daily basis.

Jesus had to die because He had divorced his wife Aholah because of her sins to keep the law that had been given to His people after they had been declared to be the people of God and that He would be their God. God gave them laws to live by and one was the Law of marriage and divorce, that once a man had divorced his wife, if he was to remarry the wife it was an abomination before God and caused the land to sin. If Jesus were to remarry Aholah, it would take a miracle. For if, Aholah was to die then He would have no woman to marry for she would be dead. The only solution was that He would have to die and be raised from the dead to marry Aholah once more. Which is exactly what happened when He went up willingly to the city to be slain for the purpose of remarrying his divorced wife. He was beaten by many stripes that the children of Aholah could be healed of their desire to worship idols. That “by His stripes you will be healed” is what the Prophet said when Jesus was asking for the bill of divorcement that He had given Aholah. Peter was to confirm, years later, after the standing up, that by His stripes you were healed.

Jesus was not killed while He was on the stake for He had gone up willingly to die for the right to remarry Aholah. He died and was buried in the tomb of rich man, his great uncle Joseph’s tomb that had been carved out of solid rock where no dead person had ever lain. Jesus accomplished every thing He came for with one exception. The children of Aholah need to hear the message that their mother could once more be married to the Lord. Jesus took those learners that had been given to Him by the Father to be the ones dispatched to take the invitation to come out from among the gentiles where they had been scattered by the father after the divorce. The invitation was called in the Greek language as the ekkleesian being the ones invited out from among the gentiles where they had been scattered by the father at the time of the divorce.

However, we have a problem understanding this because of poor translation or deception. The problem is this: the children that were scattered among the gentiles in the Old Testament did not have a name but a description. Those around them knew them, “as not the people of God.” However, those gentiles knew something that we do not know for even the gentiles knew that once they had been the people of God and were different from themselves. When the time of the New Testament era arrived, they received a name in the Greek as the ethnee (the righteous gentiles, which are different from the ethnoon who were the unrighteous gentiles). From the Greek text, we can locate them 54 times. It is always to the ethnee that the invitation is given, no matter what city along the trade routes to the British Isles. Jesus made the first announcement of the invitation before He was nailed to the stake for Aholah. For He said: “I will home build the wife of me being the ones being the ones invited out from among the gentiles where they had been scattered by my Father; And the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.” This same message was given after His standing up after three nights and three days among the dead ones. He dispatched His learners to go and teach the ethnee all that I have taught you baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus had promised His learners that the comforter would come after He went away. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit was not based on believing or confession of sins but rather it was given to those of the whole house of Israel to prove who they were among the unrighteous gentiles. The promise of the New Covenant that was made during the Passover dinner with His learners has not yet been fulfilled for it is in the future, where the House of Judah and the House of Israel would receive the New Covenant.

Let me not forget Aholibah the other wife of the Lord. Aholibah provided the place and the people where Jesus was to be born when He came to buy back her sister. We know that Aholibah was more treacherous than her older sister, Aholah but she was only punished for 70 years in Babylon before she was allowed to return and build the temple that Jesus was to stand in during troublesome times. She would not receive her scattering until about 35 years after Jesus left this earth to go and prepare a place for His people that He had chosen before the foundation of the earth when He became the Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth for His divorced wife, Aholah. Aholibah had never been divorced and without the covenants, she had no reason to be saved as her older sister did. Both women were the righteous people of God for their righteousness had been imputed unto them on Mount Sinai of Arabia when they became the children of God and He would be their God

The end is not yet for the two sisters for they are to rule over all of the gentiles of this world. For God said to Aholah that she was the only family of the earth, that He had every known of all the families of the earth. God has always protected His family when the wrath of the Father has been poured out on the unrighteous gentiles of this earth and this next time will be no different. Jesus said through Paul that the dead of the ones anointed will rise first and we who are alive will follow to the place that He has prepared for the children of Aholah and Aholibah. We then will return to set all things right as we rule and reign with our husband who is the Lord Jesus the one Anointed of the Father.

I hope this introduction to Aholah and Aholibah has been of some help in understanding why it was that Jesus had to die and to buy back the wife who had been divorced and to pardon her from her sins and heal her children of the desire to worship idols.
